Preparation
- Soak the peeled and deveined shrimp in a bowl covered with buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the seasoned flour mixture by combining flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
- Coat the shrimp by dredging them in the seasoned flour, returning to buttermilk, and then coating with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable or canola oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to around 350°F. Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the Bang Bang sauce.
- Assemble the tacos by heating tortillas, adding shredded cabbage, crispy shrimp, and drizzling with Bang Bang sauce, then topping with sliced avocado.
