  • 2 cups oil vegetable or canola for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise for creaminess
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce for sweetness
  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha adjust for spice level
For Assembly
  • 8 tortillas flour or corn for gluten-free option
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage for freshness
  • 1 avocado sliced for creaminess

Preparation
  1. Soak the peeled and deveined shrimp in a bowl covered with buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the seasoned flour mixture by combining flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Coat the shrimp by dredging them in the seasoned flour, returning to buttermilk, and then coating with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable or canola oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to around 350°F. Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  6. Assemble the tacos by heating tortillas, adding shredded cabbage, crispy shrimp, and drizzling with Bang Bang sauce, then topping with sliced avocado.
