Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by steaming the frozen gyoza dumplings according to the package instructions, typically around 6-8 minutes until fully heated and tender. Once done, gently toss the dumplings in a bowl with a splash of sesame oil to prevent sticking.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of tamari, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Stir until fully combined.
  3. While the dumplings are steaming, chop your heirloom tomatoes and slice your English cucumber and scallions. Aim for bite-sized pieces to complement the dumplings.
  4. Once the dumplings are cooked, add them to the bowl with your chopped vegetables. Pour the dressing over the dumplings and veggies, gently tossing everything together until evenly coated.
  5. Tear fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and sprinkle them over the salad. For added crunch, top with toasted sesame seeds or crispy fried onions.
  6. Your vibrant potsticker salad is now ready to serve! Enjoy it at room temperature or chill it slightly in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before serving.
