  • 2 cans Canned Tuna wild flaked white tuna
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions white parts, chopped
  • 1 large Egg or flax egg for vegan
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Aminos or Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Arrowroot Powder or Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 cup Avocado Mayonnaise or regular mayo
  • 1 clove Garlic fresh minced
  • to taste Sea Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Gluten-Free Bread Crumbs or Panko
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil for frying
  • to taste Black Sesame Seeds optional garnish
For the Spicy Mayo
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice fresh
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust for heat

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Chop the green onions, separating the white parts from the green tops.
  2. Mix avocado mayonnaise, lime juice, and sriracha to create the spicy mayo.
  3. In a bowl, mix drained tuna, green onion whites, egg, coconut aminos, arrowroot powder, avocado mayo, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Form the mixture into small cakes and coat with bread crumbs.
  5. Fry the cakes in heated oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Serve the cakes warm, drizzled with spicy mayo and garnished with green onion tops and sesame seeds.
