  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for batter
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice Best when freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
  • 1 soy sauce Gluten-Free Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Minced Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch For thickening
For Frying
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil For frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
  2. Beat the eggs until smooth.
  3. Prepare the gluten-free flour blend in a shallow dish.
Cooking
  1. Coat the chicken pieces in beaten eggs and then in the gluten-free flour.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the chicken in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Prepare the sauce by combining orange juice, zest, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger in a saucepan.
  5. Thicken the sauce with a cornstarch slurry.
  6. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
