Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Potato Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked mashed potatoes, freshly minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese. Add one egg to bind everything together and mix until smooth.
  2. Form the Balls: Take a small portion of the potato mixture and roll it into roughly 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Coat with Breadcrumbs: Roll each potato ball in seasoned breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a large frying pan, heat enough oil to cover the bottom by about half an inch until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the Potato Balls: Carefully add a few potato balls to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain and Serve: Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve with dipping sauces.
