Ingredients

For the Truffle Filling
  • 8 oz High-Quality Milk or Dark Chocolate The base of the truffle filling for rich flavor; use chocolate you love for the best taste.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Adds creaminess; coconut cream is a great dairy-free substitute.
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter Enhances richness and smoothness; coconut oil works well for dairy-free options.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Adds depth of flavor; optional.
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances sweetness and elevates overall flavor.
For the Coating
  • 12 oz Milk or Dark Chocolate for Dipping Provides the delightful outer coating.
For Decoration
  • 1/4 cup White Chocolate Optional for piping bunny features.
  • Edible Decorations Colored sprinkles/sugar eyes, optional.

Equipment

  • heatproof bowl
  • small saucepan
  • Cookie scoop
  • Parchment-lined tray
  • Piping Bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Finely chop the high-quality chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl. Heat the heavy cream until simmering and pour it over the chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir in the butter and vanilla until smooth. Cool for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  2. Once the filling is firm, scoop out portions and roll them into balls, flattening one side to create bunny ears. Refrigerate for another 20 minutes.
  3. Melt the chocolate for dipping until smooth, then dip each truffle fully in the melted chocolate. Place each on a parchment-lined tray and allow to set.
  4. Melt white chocolate, pipe bunny features on the truffles, and use it to attach decorations.
  5. Allow decorations to set for about 20 minutes. Serve on a decorative plate or gift in clear boxes.
