For the Slaw
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage Coleslaw mix can be a quick alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be used as a lighter substitute.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Minced Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce Adjust quantity based on heat preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Maple syrup can be used for a vegan option.
For the Tacos
  • 8 small Tortillas Corn or flour, as preferred.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add fish fillets and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lime juice, and honey. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, oil the grates, and place marinated fish on the grill. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until opaque and flaky.
  4. Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet for about 30 seconds per side until warm and slightly charred.
  5. Assemble the tacos by breaking the grilled fish into chunks, topping them with the chipotle slaw, and garnishing with cilantro and lime wedges.
