- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl or directly in your greased baking dish, combine uncooked penne pasta, marinara sauce, and water, stirring well. Add salt and ground black pepper, along with diced raw chicken breast.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, stir gently, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake without covering for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and optionally garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
