Step-by-Step Instructions for Taco Soup
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Add chicken breast, diced tomatoes, and chopped green chilies. Sprinkle in all spices and mix well.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and lime juice. Stir to combine and bring to a rolling boil.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
  5. After simmering, remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Ladle into bowls and garnish with cilantro and lime wedges before serving.
