  • 2 tablespoons Butterfly Pea Flowers
For the Creaminess
  • 1 cup Milk (Dairy or Plant-Based) Options include almond, coconut, or oat

  • 1 tablespoon Honey/Sweetener Optional sweetness
For Serving
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes To keep the drink cool

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Boil approximately two cups of water, then add butterfly pea flowers and steep for 5-7 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.
  2. Optional: Add honey or sweetener to warm tea and stir until dissolved.
  3. Froth the milk until creamy and airy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Fill a glass with ice cubes, then pour cooled butterfly pea tea halfway.
  5. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the back of a spoon to layer.
  6. Squeeze lemon juice into the drink for a color change from blue to purple.
  7. Garnish with fresh or dried butterfly pea flowers and serve immediately.
