Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into 2-3 inch squares for even cooking. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the chicken is thoroughly coated and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to infuse those delicious flavors.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken pieces once the skillet is hot. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, ensuring the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. While the chicken cooks, prepare the maple bacon glaze. In a small saucepan, mix together maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes if using. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. In another skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until it’s crispy and golden brown, typically around 6-8 minutes.
  5. If desired, lightly toast the slider buns in the same skillet used for the bacon for about 2-3 minutes until they’re warm and golden.
  6. Now it’s time to assemble your scrumptious Maple Chicken Bacon Sliders! Start by spreading a layer of the sweet maple glaze on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer on the cooked chicken pieces, followed by a generous drizzle of more glaze, crumbled bacon, optional brie cheese, and a handful of fresh arugula or baby spinach.
  7. Place the top half of the buns gently over the assembled sliders and serve immediately.
