- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice a small head of cabbage into thick ½-inch slices and arrange them on a lined baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef or turkey with onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined. Add an egg if desired.
- Shape the mixture into patties roughly the size of the cabbage slices and place each patty on the cabbage.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the cabbage is tender.
- If using cheese, sprinkle it on top and broil for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until melted.
