Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Boil chopped potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Melt remaining butter in a skillet, add shredded cabbage and chopped onion, and sauté for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine sautéed vegetables with mashed potatoes and mix until cohesive. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and smooth the top without air pockets.
  6. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
