Ingredients
  

For the Wontons
  • 1 package Wonton Wrapper Store-bought wrappers save time!
  • 1 pound Pork Mince Use fatty mince for a juicy filling.
  • 3 bulbs Scallions/Spring Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 0.5 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce For depth of flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing Wine Substitute rice wine if needed.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dark Brown Sugar
  • 0.125 teaspoon Sesame Oil For essence.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon White Pepper
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese Black Vinegar For signature zing.
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce For dipping sauce.
  • 0.125 teaspoon Sesame Oil For dipping sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Dark Brown Sugar For dipping sauce.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ginger Minced or in matchsticks for dipping sauce.

Method
 

Dipping Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, combine the dipping sauce ingredients and mix well until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the pork mince, scallions, garlic, and ginger. Pour in soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, dark brown sugar, sesame oil, sea salt, and white pepper. Mix until sticky.
Wrapping Wontons
  1. Take a wrapper, place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center, wet the edges, fold to form a triangle, press to seal, and crimp corners.
Cooking Wontons
  1. Boil water in a large pot, add wontons in batches, and cook for about 4 minutes until they float.
Serving
  1. Transfer cooked wontons to a serving dish and serve hot with dipping sauce.
