For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce Use gluten-free if desired
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar Can substitute with honey or maple syrup
  • 4 cloves Garlic Fresh minced
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger Fresh, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch Can substitute with arrowroot powder
For Garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Sliced, for serving

Steps
  1. Begin by slicing the flank steak thinly against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, fresh ginger, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the sliced flank steak into the slow cooker, then pour the prepared sauce over it and toss to coat.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set to low heat. Cook for 3 hours.
  5. After 3 hours, check for tenderness. Cook uncovered for an additional 30 minutes for a thicker sauce if desired.
  6. Serve warm over rice or noodles, garnished with sliced green onions.
