  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 large Egg or flaxseed/chia seed egg
For Toppings
  • 1 cup Carrot shredded
  • 1 cup Cucumber sliced
  • 3 stalks Spring Onions for garnish
  • 1/4 cup Coriander for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Oil or sriracha

Step-by-Step Instructions for Smash Dumpling Tacos
  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine plain flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually stir in ¾ cup of boiling water.
  2. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Make the Filling: Combine pork mince, spring onions, chives, coriander, garlic, ginger, soy sauces, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and the egg in a bowl. Mix well.
  4. Shape the Tacos: Roll the dough into circles, add filling, fold and seal tightly.
  5. Cook the Tacos: Heat oil in a skillet, add the dumplings, smash gently, fry until crispy, then steam with water.
  6. Serve with Toppings: Remove from skillet, top with carrot, cucumber, spring onions, and coriander. Drizzle with chili oil.
