Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey substitute with ground chicken if desired
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs use gluten-free for gluten-free option
  • 2 stalks Green Onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger fresh grated
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice fresh preferred
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil or olive oil as substitute
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
For the Peanut Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter or almond butter
  • 2 tbsp Honey or agave syrup for vegan option
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha adjust for spice preference
For Assembling
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns gluten-free if necessary
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrot
  • 1 cup Cucumber sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Leaves
  • 1/2 medium Red Onion sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, cilantro, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into uniform patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly coat with cooking oil.
  4. Carefully place the patties on the heated surface, cooking for 5-6 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, honey, sriracha, and warm water until smooth.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, assemble by spreading peanut sauce on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun, adding a patty, drizzling more sauce, and topping with fresh veggies.
  7. Serve immediately with extra peanut sauce on the side if desired.
